Our Authentic Brazilian rain sticks are brightly colored and create a long sustained patter of falling rain. Tip them at a 45-degree angle d gently roll them in your hands to extend the patter. Or tip them vertical for a short torrent of sound. Such tubular, or stick rattles, have been found in archaeological sites along the coast of Peru. The antiquity of the rain stick may reach back eight to ten thousand years. Today, the rain stick is a popular percussion instrument used around the world. 1.5 to 2 inches in diameter and approximately 41 inches long, hand made.
